Encouraging and supporting local environmental stewardship by diverting food scraps from landfills and converting them into nutrient-rich compost and soils.

LIFFE was born from a simple but powerful belief — that the food we throw away is not waste. It's a resource. And with the right system, it can be transformed into something that feeds our soil, strengthens our farms, and builds a healthier Harford County.

As a Maryland Certified Compost Technician, Soil Biology Lab Technician trained through the Soil Food Web School, and Permaculture Designer and Consultant, Logan brings real science and deep passion to every pickup, every batch of compost, and every conversation about soil health.

LIFFE isn't a trash company with a green logo. It's a local environmental movement — and it starts at your kitchen counter.

Certified through the Soil Food Web School — understanding the living biology beneath our feet that makes healthy soil possible.

🌿 Permaculture Designer & Consultant

Food waste is the single largest material sent to American landfills. As it breaks down, it releases methane — a greenhouse gas far more potent than carbon dioxide. Meanwhile, our local soils are becoming depleted, our farms are struggling, and our connection to the land is fading.

LIFFE exists to close that loop. Every bucket of scraps we collect is a small act of restoration. Multiplied across hundreds of households and businesses, it becomes something much bigger — a community taking responsibility for its land and its future.

We are proud to be a family-owned, mission-driven small business rooted in Harford County. We're not here to scale nationally. We're here to make this county better.
